hello everyone the name is milkshak3z and that's the name I would want to give a whole guide of the sites rules and such this should help new user understand more of the sites rules easier and more clear I'll try my best to be as accurate as possible this is off my experience so if I get some stuff wrong please correct me in the comment section of this I was making this because sometimes especially when I was new I did not know the rules and ended up in the 404 area but now I'm here to help as much as possible I'll try to make it clear and fun with that lets get started
what is Account Level?
the account leveling system is a system to track the users experience from level 1 to level 60 most of they would be represented by just items and stuff depending on the level think of it like attendance
FUN FACT:the bomb icon was created for the user bomb after reaching the maximum level
but anyway the benefit of a higher account level is it increases your voting weight your vote carrys more power in the "under judgement" section it should take you about 10 years to earn level 60 if you don't miss a day
How do I Earn Experience points? (xp)
to earn Experience points aka XP you need to vote on content every vote you do gives you 2 XP you can earn a maximum of 10 XP (5 total votes) the daily reset happens around the newgrounds day cycle (Midnight Eastern Time/EST)
since the 2018 site redesign now the XP is instantly depostited to your account instead of having to do all 5 votes to gets all the XP
now for the double XP events sometimes newgrounds will host fun special events where they will increase the daily cap to 20
What is B/P?
B/p or blam and protect is a system where you go under the "under judgement" section of the site this also connects back to the level system but we get into that in a second anyway low submissions or things that breaks the rules would get blamed in order to blam something anything 1.5 and under is a blam 2 star and up is a save
it also helps multiply the level vote power lets say you have level 60 vote power if you have a high B/p it could give you
way more vote power then just a level 60 without the boost from the B/P
a save is when you vote 2 star or higher everytime you vote it 2 stars or higher and it gets past the under judgement section it counts as a save or protect
a blam is like a save but you vote 1.5 stars or lower and it gets nuked off the site and also awards you with it and counts as a blam
a B/p multiplier like mentioned earlier is a system where depending on your level of B/P you get power when you first start newgrounds you get 0 and when you fully max it out you will get 60+ power
What is scouting?
scouting is a nother newgrounds system where artist get invited to post in there is two sections "unscouted" and "scouted"
the "unscouted" portal aka the undiscovered artist is just a different area on the site where people who are not scouted can post
What is the star system?
the star system or the voting system is the system where you vote its not that hard you can vote 0 to 5 stars
zero means its spam and garbage and 5 means its amazing think of this system like democrats most people will just use it to how they feel and not the real quality of the item
What is the whistles?
the whistle points is also say it with me a newgrounds report system where you report bad content the more accurate the more whistle points you get its from normal to deity the highest rank also if you keep flagging content that dont break rules it will put you in the lowest rank garbage we will talk more about what all the whistle do in a minute also whistle points are invisible
anyway the higher whistle you got the more your reports will get pushed up the mods radar and such lets start with garbage
garbage whistle: the garbage whistle is the lowest whistle you can get that means you been flagging content that never broken the rules so when you get the garbage whistle your reports no longer go to the report area your reports are hidden to get out of it you must report something and if someone else who has a higher whistle then garbage reports it that could give everyone who reported it the point including you and could get you out of the garbage
normal whistle: this is the standard whistle every user starts with your reports get sent to the report area and that's really it
bronze whistle: that means you been flagging content and its been correct and you got bronze the bronze whistle is mean it gets pushed up the report system a little higher then the normal
silver whistle: the same with the others it gets pushed up and this means the mods trust your reports more
gold whistle: you have great report accuracy and this means your reports get pushed up the report higher then all the others
deity whistle: this is the absulute highest rank there is this will push your report mostly to the very top and this shows you have good accuracy when reporting content and the moderators trust your reports
What is content ratings?
content ratings are something everything posted on the site has such as games movies art and audio and some more also most content ratings on the site follow this
this is obviously to separate the nfsw to the others and vise versa also if you see content in the wrong ratings make sure to report it for that breaks the rules you should report it for improper rating
